Financial assistance for disability studies research

CeDS provides financial assistance for innovative research in disability studies. The programme is intended to support work that can improve learning, accessibility, rehabilitation support, assistive practices and quality of life for differently abled persons.

Eligibility

Who can apply

Faculty

Eligible institutions

Faculty of Government, Government-aided and self-financing institutions including Engineering, Medical, Polytechnic, Arts and Science institutions.

Students

Professional and PG students

Students of Engineering and Professional Colleges, and PG students in Government and Government-aided colleges.

Persons with disabilities

Qualified applicants

Qualified persons with ≥40% disability may apply through faculty of eligible institutions.

Funding Limits

Maximum financial assistance

Students Up to ₹50,000/-
Faculty Members Up to ₹4,00,000/-

Review and approval

Proposals are scrutinized by the Research Advisory Committee, with funding given to address challenges faced by differently abled persons.
